Dinosaur Eggs

Poppies have been making dinosaur eggs for their new dinosaur display board! The children worked together to decorate the eggs with feathers and pieces of material. All of the children love reading dinosaurs stories and role playing with the dinosaurs, so have enjoyed taking part in dinosaur themed activities.

Preschool have been using natural resources to count. The children were able to use wooden sticks to represent the numbers on the cards. They have also been practising sharing resources with each other, such as reading books together. Preschool love reading books independently and will often read books together as a group, creating their own stories by using the pictures or repeating familiar phrases they know from the story. As well as sharing stories together and reading independently the children enjoy voting on what books we read as a group. Each child has their own stick character representing themselves. They then take it in turns to vote on which book they would like us to read. We are very much looking forward to taking part in World Book Day!

Happy New Year!
